FITBIT HR RATE vs JAWBONE UP3

Last months I tested two different trackers: Jawbone up3 and Fitbit charge HR.

The first thing I want to write is a great thank you to both producers because now I’m motivated enough to run or walk every single day and reach the goals I chose (weight loose, steps …)

I’m also using them to try and run an half marathon in less than 3 hours in next 6 months (I know it’s not a big record but if I think that 1 year ago I was not able to run more than 10 mins I think it’s a great goal)

How to create a good article?

I choose to add a table that describes the features I’m using constantly and give them a number to explain my personal judgment; the scale starts from 0 and stops to 10.

I think that the article is “ready to use” and fast to be immediately understandable. I don’t add further comments to the tables because I think they are already self-describing.

The second table shows which features are available for only one of the two products

Last but not least: they are excellent products, Fitbit has more functionality than up3 and the cost is higher.

I love them both and don’t know which one will leave my wrist.

Mountain Vacations ? Alps are always the best choice !

I spent my last vacation days of this hot and sunny summer in Bormio, a nice small mountain town close to the italian and swiss border.

Here you can find a small collection of pics, I took personally with my mobile phone.

Enjoy it

Why vacation in Croatia is an excellent idea

I spent my last vacation in Croatia, village of Fasana in Istria.

This small fishermen village next to Pula is located at the top of Istrian Triangle, right in front of Venice.

10 days when I could relax and recharge my batteries. Istria surprised me in a very positive way and I want to show you how:

  • Sea Life: there are a lot of free beaches and all have public showers; usually every 150 meters there are pubs/restaurants where you can interrupt your tanning time to have fresh drinks and excellent lunches/snacks
  • Quality of the Sea: unlike Italian Adriatic Sea, Croatian Adriatic Sea is clean and clear and you can see the deep end of the sea. There are a lot of so cute islands where it’s a pleasure swimming and snorkeling among rocks and cliffs.
  • The shops open from 7 am to 11 pm. When I realized it, my thinking immediately went to the villages in Liguria where most shops are open from 9 to 13 and from 16 to 20 (for 3 months a year I think mandatory keeping shops open all day long as in Istria).
  • Languages: English, Italian, German are regularly spoken.
  • People look serious in the beginning but they are very friendly and polite after few moments
  • No vu-cumprà: you lay on the beach and nobody’s coming to sell you something. So shops can have more success and the nation itself earns more as they PAY TAXES (do you understand, Italian politicians?)
  • Costs: I really enjoyed Istria, moved from north to South, visited nice places such as Rovinj (Rovigno), Pula (Pola), Opatija (Abbazia). Every single evening I went to the restaurant where I ate delicious fresh fish and excellent meat (please see on trip advisor my comments about resturants). During the day I had good fresh drinks and delicious snacks. I rent boats to visit the islands of Brijuni and those in front of the town of Rovinj. I traveled with 3 other people, we rent a flat and spent in total about 600 € per person, all included.
  • Takeways: Fresh Food, Rovinij, Briunij, Sea, and Palacinka
